We are delighted to offer a weekend camp using the superb facilities at Waresley Park, former base of event rider Eddie Stibbe. This Camp is open to H&DRC members 18 years of age and over. Junior members, and Seniors not wishing to stay overnight, may apply to attend on a daily basis – but priority will be given to Campers.
Training in different disciplines will be offered both Saturday and Sunday – please see attached form for details. Campers will pay a daily fee for the use of the facilities, plus the supplement payable for each session selected. In addition, there will be an unmounted session: Phillippa Coles of Massage4Horses will give us a fascinating insight into the horse’s muscular structure, and explain how this affects performance. Horses will be accommodated in luxury stabling. Campers will need to bring all equipment for looking after their horse, plus all feed and hay. Campers may stay in their lorries free of charge; alternatively there is superb accommodation available in a cottage on site.

Courtyard Farm, for seniors only. Accommodation, stabling and turnout
available. Straw included. No overnight turnout and turnout on a rota basis.
Cost: Approx. £20.00 per night for horse/rider combination.

Sylvie Favell has arranged some 2010 training sessions with John Adams: The dates for the sessions are as follows:
- Saturday 6 February
- Saturday 20 March
- Saturday 1 May
Each session lasts for one hour, and the price is £20 per session (though I may need to add a surcharge if there are not enough riders in a session). Maximum of four riders/horses per session - open to Junior and Senior members. All sessions will take place in all weather arena at Home Farm, Alconbury, Cambs.Please complete a club booking form for each session you would like to take part in, indicating which date/time you would prefer. These may have to be changed to match riders/horses of similar ability so please indicate if you are willing to take another time or go on a waiting list if you don‟t get a place. You will be notified (by phone or email) if your time is different to that you requested or if you haven't got a place; if there is no problem with your booking, you will only receive a confirmation if you supplied a valid email address! Please also indicate size of your horse/pony and what size you are both capable of jumping together. Novice sessions will be organised if there are enough takers (but sessions usually require jumping ability of horse and rider at around 2‟9” plus).Send the completed booking form(s) and cheque(s) (separate form and cheque for each session booked) made out to Huntingdon and District Riding Club to Sylvie Favell, 78 Windmill Close, Ellington, Cambs, PE28 OAJ at least 10 days before each session. If you can‟t attend a session you have booked, please ring me on 07742 113089. I do have a waiting list sometimes and if I can fill your place you won‟t be charged. PLEASE NOTE that bookings are not valid without a cheque - so even if you have phoned or emailed me to check whether slots are available in a session, you must send off that cheque as soon as possible to reserve that slot! |
